Join us for a day of celebrating Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day and May as Mental Health Month.
This is a statewide effort to set the world record for most people certified in Mental Health First Aid in one day. Come be a part of history!
Join us for any or all three of the day’s free events:
**May is Mental Health Month Breakfast**
**Children’s Mental Health Awareness Luncheon**
**Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid Courses at Children’s Hospital and other Metro Locations**
We’ll teach you how to respond to someone with a mental health challenge. You’ll learn the signs, symptoms, and evidence-based actions to help connect those in need to support systems that can help them recover.
Mental Health First Aid is a highlight of the recent White House plan to reduce community violence and the focus of bipartisan federal legislation in Washington D.C.
Our Adult Mental Health First Aid course is appropriate for anyone ages 16+. The Youth Curriculum is designed for adults – family members, caregivers, school staff, health and human services workers, etc. – who work with young people 12-25, and is also appropriate as a peer support program for older adolescents.
